Introduction to SoapUI

Hi. Welcome to my new course on Soap UI My name is Sashi and I have got total 15 years of experience in the manual and automation testing, before I jump into the course content. Let us understand what is soap ui ? ... and why it is used ? ... and who is the target audience for this course Soap UI is the leading web service testing tool with which you can test SOAP based web services as well as RESTful APIs it is an open source software , means you can use it for free of cost. So you also has paid version which is called Ready API with some extra features. But in free version you can achieve whatever you can do in Ready API using Groovy , a programming language so the first question comes to mind is like why should I learn this tool?? Let us understand some background now these days a lot of people are using smartphones and they will see the information on their mobiles day in day out right .... then how these companies can exchange information between their servers and the mobile devices. It can be any any device. It can be a laptop can be mobile it can be an IPad you on it. So then the technology comes into picture so all the companies they will expose their functionality wherever possible uses it means the integral delivery of services right now if there is a development there definitely the testing comes to the picture. So someone has to test the functionality of the Web services whether they've upset themselves working as expected or not. That's why there's a lot of demand for the customers or developers who has knowledge on the upside of this testing goons like Sophie. And so why is market leader. Then you will learn how to integrate your test cases in Jenkins for continuous integration purpose and you also learn how to perform good testing of your services. Where I starting from basics we will we will make a slow progress towards advanced concepts so the topics are organized in a proper way. So I suggest you follow the course flow. OK so I have told you a basics and we talked about some assumptions here and working with properties. This is a dedicated section is to test recipes which are very popular these days. And this is very important section. I suggest you spend some time on this section. In this I started from groovy basics. If you don't have any experience you can start from this topic and you can start from basics. You can learn up all the way to that plans topics.
