    Welcome to the course!

    A Little Bit About Me

I am a hypnotherapist, qualified as a Practitioner and Trainer under the General Hypnotherapy Register and General Hypnotherapy Standards Council in the UK.  I am also an Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner.  As at the date of preparing this course in December 2025, I have been running my own private practice for 14 years.

Being qualified is one thing but understanding people and their individual situations is another.  I believe it is vitally important that, when I meet my clients, they feel safe to speak freely.  I don't want them to be worried that I will judge them.  That's not my role. My role is to help.

Therapy is not about one-size-fits-all.  It is about being able to truly understand a person's experiences, feelings and importantly, what they need to make the changes they are seeking.  It's a joint process. I am merely a facilitator of change.  There will be aspects of this course that you will be able to personalise to suit you.  Feel free to do this. As with my one-to-one clients, you are the one who makes the changes.

    Module 1 Introduction

This first module is all about understanding what anxiety really is, not just the medical definition, but how it feels and what it means for you. Because once you understand it, you can start to work with your mind and body instead of fighting against it.  Whether you undertake one-to-one therapy or a course such as this, there is an opportunity to learn about yourself.  The more you can understand yourself, the more empowered you become to make changes.

    Learning Outcomes

The learning objectives for this module are:

    1. Consider contributing factors to anxiety.

    2. Understand how the brain and body interact during anxious moments.

    3. Recognise your own anxiety triggers and early signs.

    4. Begin developing a sense of safety and control.

    A Few Pointers

I hope you don't mind me suggesting a few things that I hope will help you progress through this course and get the most out of it.

Go at your own pace. Sometimes we are tempted to rush through courses and learn everything quickly. However, if we do this, sometimes the information and new behaviour don't become deeply ingrained.  Therefore, it is far better to go over the modules more than once because you will learn more the second time around.

Sometimes, it can be more beneficial to do 20 minutes of learning at a time than to sit for 3 hrs. The result of powering through quickly can be that you absorb and integrate very little.

Another temptation is to have phones around or the TV on when learning.  This can be distracting. Therefore, I would encourage you to give the course your undivided attention so that you gain the knowledge and skills available here.

When you reach the EFT (Tapping) section.  I would encourage you to practice, practice, practice.  Persevere with this, long after you finish the course. EFT is a wonderful tool for life.

Wishing you lots of success with the course.

Description

Anxiety can affect your thoughts, body, sleep and confidence. Overall, it can affect your ability to enjoy life.  I bring my 14 years of client work, over thousands of sessions, into this course.

This course is designed to help you reduce anxiety safely, gently, and effectively, using a practical blend of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), hypnotherapy, and proven calming tools you can use anytime, anywhere.  It also encourages you to understand more about your triggers for anxiety and brings a feeling of safety through the various information and processes included.

Whether your anxiety feels constant, situational, or comes in waves, this course will guide you step by step toward feeling calmer, more grounded, and more in control. We take a solution-focussed approach.

You’ll learn how anxiety actually works in the mind and through the body.  Importantly, it teaches you how to work with your body instead of fighting it.

This is not about “thinking positive” or forcing yourself to relax.  It’s about learning techniques that help your system feel safe enough to calm down naturally.

This is what Mandy says about the course:
